(May 20, 2014) The prestigious BEST FILM award presented at the St. Tropez International Film Festival Award Gala in Southern France went to HELEN ALONE, a feature film produced and filmed in Houston, Texas. The St. Tropez Film Festival runs parallel with the Cannes Film Festival.
In a very competitive field counting film entries from more than 50 countries, HELEN ALONE also picked up the award for BEST FEATURE FILM and thus swept both of the BEST FILM awards.
HELEN ALONE is the first feature film by Henrik Bech Poulsen, who wrote, directed and produced it. The movie stars Daniel Baldwin, Priscilla Barnes and Alexis Raich as Helen.
Helen Alone tells the story of a teenager who, left alone by her parents for the first time, finds herself on a journey through the dark side of suburbia where an odd cast of characters all battle to control her fate.
HELEN ALONE is currently doing the festival circuit and premiered at WORLDFEST Houston in April where it won the GOLD REMI for FIRST FEATURE FILM.
The St. Tropez International Film Festival Awards were presented on May 17th.
